What Is Important Though, Is That Another Milestone Has Been Achieved In BlackCaps Cricket. More Importantly, There Are A Great Deal Of Positives To Take Out Of This Enormously Successful Cricket World Cup 2015. It Was No Accident That The BlackCaps Reached The Final In Melbourne. Nor Was It By Accident That On Route To The Final, They Topped The Pool A Standings. Perhaps The Only Negative I Can Find On Route To The Final, Was The Fact That The Only Match They Got To Play Away From Home Or On Foreign Turf Was The Final. Not That This Can Ever Placed At Their Doorstep, After All This Was How The Organisers Had It Set Up. Neither Can This Place Any Question Over Their Ability To Win Away From Home, But Playing One Or Two Away From Home Would Simply Have Served As A Reminder That The BlackCaps Do Know How To Win Away From Home. Something That They’re More Than Capable Of Doing. They’re A Well Balanced Side Brimful Of Talent. They Have A Very Strong And Aggressive Batting Lineup, Capable Of Getting On Top Of Any Bowling Side And Able To Successfully Chase Down A Target To Win. Alternatively, By Getting On Top Of The Bowling They’re Able To Set A Big Enough Target For The Opposition To Chase Down And In Doing So, Placing The Pressure On Their Opposing Batsmen Thus Making The Task Easier For Their Bowlers To Defend The Set Target. This Was Seen During This World Cup. Batsmen Such As Brendan McCullum, Martin Guptill, Corey Anderson And Grant Elliot Just To Name A Few. They Were Tactful And Were Able To Still Bat With Aggression. Martin Guptill Was Ruthless Against The West Indies. Brendan McCullum Was Merciless On The South African Bowlers As Was Corey Anderson And Grant Elliot In The Same Match. Again Corey Anderson Also Had Awesome Knock During The BlackCaps Pool A Win Over Australia At Eden Park.

To Compliment This Balance The BlackCaps Bowling Line Up Is Equally Effective And Exceptionally Talented. With Bowlers Like Trent Boult, Tim Southee And Veteran All Rounder Daniel Vettori To Name A Few. As Bowlers They’re Able To Mix It Up Making it Uncomfortable For The Opposing Batsmen At The Crease To Play Their Shots With Confidence Thus Place Placing Their Opponents Under Pressure. In So Doing They’re Able To Get On Top Of Their Opposition. In Doing So, They Have As A Result Time And Again Now Proven Their Ability To Knock The Opposition Over Cheaply. In So Doing They’re Able To Either Set An Achievable Target For Their Batting Line Up To Successfully Chase Down Or Else Successfully Defend A Set Target For Victory.
But Over And Above Being A Talented And Well Balanced Side, This Is A Side That Has Finally Come Of Age. They’ve Proven That They’re Able To Mix It With The Very Best And Come Out Of It On Top. It Shows In Their Performance, With More Than Just One Or Two Players Featuring On The Score Board. The Players Know Eachother Well And They Communicate Well With Eachother. There Is A Clear Understanding Within The Team. Eachone Knows His Task And What’s Expected Of Him. They Perform Their Tasks Well And It Can Be Seen Among The Team Members That There’s A Clear Commitment To Eachother And To The Team Overall. This Is A Clear Recipe For Success, And They’re Loving It. Most Of All They Love The Game. This Is Seen In The High Standard Of Their Fielding Where Every Run Saved, Is Potentially Another Run Scored For Them In The Final Analysis. The Year Began On The Up With The BlackCaps Starting The 2015 Two Places Up To No4 On The ICC Test Rankings. They’re At No 4 In The ICC ODI Rankings As Well. They’re A Team On The Way Up. They’re Achievers And They Know It. They’re Living Proof, That With The Right Balanced Formula, Success Breeds Success.
